Open House Held for Those Interested in Adult Education Courses

The Adult Education department at Franklin County Technical School held an Open House on Thursday, January 9 for anyone interested in enrolling in free Spring courses.
 
The program is preparing its fifth semester offering 12-week certification courses in five specialties, including Automotive Technology, Carpentry, Electrical, Horticulture, and Welding & Metal Fabrication.
 
The next semester will begin on February 24, 2025. Registration is currently open. Visitors to the Open House were able to tour all five of the classroom areas, see demonstrations, and speak with instructors.

The Career Technical Initiative (CTI) is a collaboration with the MassHire Franklin Hampshire Career Center which offers career-oriented industry training sessions that will give students the necessary credentials to seek future employment. This grant-funded opportunity is made available to support the ongoing economic recovery and growth objectives of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. These strategic investments are part of the ongoing effort by the Massachusetts Workforce Skills Cabinet (WSC) to create pathways that better position individuals to improve their skills and knowledge to meet the varying hiring needs of employers across the Commonwealth.
