Life and Employment Skills

Life skills such as laundry, recycling, copy center are practiced daily, while vocational skills such as landscaping, building maintenance, woodworking and many other skills are practiced throughout the school year.  Reading an analog clock and completing a time card assist in preparing students for employment after school completion. Testimonials...

Janet Valvo, parent:
"My son has improved so much in his academic skills, learning, speech, and the skills he will need to eventually be out on his own. The teachers are amazing and I love that they do so much one-on-one and group socializing.

Working with the overall PEP team is awesome. Anytime you need them they are a phone call away. My son loves being there; he doesn't want to leave, he wants to stay and keep learning new things. They really helped through everything! Thanks for being so great and helpful."

Dustin Clarke, student:
"My favorite part of the PEP Academic Classroom is that the teachers make me feel smart even when I'm having a hard day. I sometimes forget things I already learned and the teachers in the PEP program are patient with me, so I'm very grateful for that.

I believe that if I didn't come to the PEP program I wouldn't have passed my MCAS. I also believe my life wouldn't be as much fun. I have made awesome friends and I look forward to my future in the PEP program!"
