Professional school nursing is primarily concerned with promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of each student in our school. Basic to the delivery of health care services is the concept of health education, by promoting good health practices and prevention of situations or circumstances which may impede learning or threaten optimal health. Being aware and in charge of handling COVID-19 concerns is a new responsibility. To meet the individual needs of each student may require communication with not only the student, but with the parents, primary physician and/or school physician, teaching staff, and counselors.
