The Article of the Week (AOW)
The Article of the Week initiative is designed to expose students to informational texts and a broader view of the world around them. Students will learn to annotate, summarize, research and provide personal opinions. The Articles of the Week will foster close reading skills, the building of background knowledge, the creation of informed opinions, and arguments about relevant issues and ideas of the day. These skills will prove integral over their academic and vocational career at Franklin County Technical School.
