Jonathan Talbot joined the Franklin County Technical School vocational faculty in September 2013 after 16 years in the auto body industry.
After graduating from the FCTS Collision Repair program in 1999, Jon worked on all aspects of auto body work for Leon L. Sirum & Co. in Greenfield, MA for several years until moving to North Amherst Motors, where he stayed until 2013.
Jon is certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence as a Collision Repair Technician. He is skilled in auto body paint and refinishing, non-structural repair, welding, and electrical and mechanical work.
He is also a certified I-CAR instructor and an I-CAR platinum-level technician, with certificates in a number of refinishing products.
As a high school student, Jon experienced a transformation after transferring to FCTS in his sophomore year, and this motivates him to provide a dynamic and caring learning environment for the students he now teaches.
Jon has been a professional licensed vocational teacher in Massachusetts since 2020.

A proud class of 1995 Franklin County Technical School Alumnus, Jeffery Tarr joined FCTS as an instructor in 2010 in order to pay it forward for everything the school has done for his success.
He had 18 years of experience in the automotive trade, and a number of National Insitute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications.
Jeffery is a Master Collision Repair and Refinishing Technician. He also holds ASE master certifications in paint and refinishing, non-structural analysis, structural analysis, and mechnical and electrical components.
Jeffery is a certified I-CAR instructor and holds many I-CAR master certifications as well.
Jeffery became a professionally licensed vocational teacher in Massachusetts in 2021.
