Welding & Metal Fabrication

General Description

Welding and Metal Fabrication employs a unique, hands-on, project-based learning strategy to teach students effective welding skills. An innovative industry-based curriculum blends applicable math, science, and metallurgy with state-of-the-art equipment.

In this program students work with a variety of metals to produce and assemble products for machinery, tanks, pipes, stacks, and parts for buildings.

Safety is of paramount importance and students begin their training with a strong foundation of safety measures, and build upon those critical skills for the entire time in the program.

The Welding and Metal Fabrication Program develops student skills for eventual entry-level career opportunities upon graduation. Graduates can work in positions as a welder, welding inspector, iron worker, pipe welder, fabrication fitter, welding equipment sales, custom fabricator, and diver welder.
