Guidance Office
The Guidance Department, as part of the Department of Student Services, is committed to supporting students' academic, social/emotional, and career development needs. We provide personal, vocational, and career counseling, and foster a school environment that allows students to grow and to have greater academic, social, and career opportunities. Counselors assist students with their post-FCTS plans, including career guidance, college and trade school applications and placement, and entry into the workforce. Guidance counselors routinely meet with students to discuss attendance, behavior issues, and academic and shop performance, as well as to connect them to relevant opportunities at school, in the local labor/workforce, and with our community partners. Parent and guardian involvement in all aspects of their student's education and planning is highly encouraged.
